15th Entry Celebrates its Golden Jubilee at CCH

14th April 2018 marked the completion of 50 years since 15th Entry (1968-73) joined CCH. To celebrate the occasion, 15th entry Abdalians were here at CCH.
They arrived at 11 am and the NCOs arranged them according to wings in front of Shuhada monument where all 6 wings’ representatives laid wreaths followed by wreaths from Ex-Principal Professor M. Asif Malik and the worthy Principal CCH. College Khateeb offered dua for the martyrs.
On tune of the college music band and led by Vice Admiral (R) Tayyab Ali Dogar, the old boys marched towards the main entrance of Ayub block. They had a small morning assembly routine followed by the National Anthem.
They made their way towards Naeem hall where the tea was served. Their 8th class pictures were on display on projector screens. That was a treat to their eyes as they watched and laughed at each other’s pictures.
The Principal formally welcomed them and highlighted some of the key contributions of 15th entry boys. Professor Asif Malik represented his views on the occasion and shared some memories related to 15th entry. Then some souvenirs were presented to the Principal, Vice Principal and other staff.
Mr. Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh presented a cheque of Rs 10 million to the Principal for the CCH Endowment Fund Trust, which makes their total donation to 19 million in last 4 years. He also presented a cheque for the families of junior CCH staff. Mr. Tanveer in his address shared his memories and how the college had helped shaping their personalities.
Mr. Hamid Ghafur represented the expatriates of 15th entry. He stressed in his address on the importance of global changes in the world and how to prepare today’s cadets to face the challenges.
In the end, Vice Admiral (R) Tayyab Ali Dogar gave vote of thanks on behalf of all the 15th entry boys and thanked his former teachers for coming and CCH administration for arranging this event.
Then they visited the wings recollecting memories from rooms and dorms. They were looking like 8th class students again.
They had lunch in the mess with cadets followed by the musical show prepared by the newly established CCH Music Club. After the show they had group photograph and played a friendly cricket match with the college team, which let them win it of course.
We congratulate the class of 1968-73 on completion of 50 years and are very grateful to all the gifts and donations they have given to the institution.
