German Teacher and tourist Ms Christiane visits CCH

Miss Christiane Fladt, a German hiker and mountaineer who has been living in Pakistan since 2003, was invited at Cadet College Hasanabdal by the Adventure Club to share her experiences and inspire young Cadets to join adventure clubs. She talked to over 150 keen Cadets and answered their questions.

" I wish you could take your time out and engage in hiking and trekking whenever you can and explore nature. It will give you self confidence and courage you never experienced before", she said.

It is worth mentioning that currently she is a kidney patient and goes under dialysis 3 times a week, yet she spends 3 hours daily in adventure sports.

She has a special connection with Shamshal Valley in Hunza as she chose to live there for more than a year. She didn't act as just a tourist but actually wanted to learn the culture and give something to the village too. She taught english to the kids during her stay. She has the honor of having a mountain peak named after her which is located near Shamshal Valley.

We are thankful to her for visiting the College and provide inspiration to the Cadets.
