Syed Aqil Shah (10 th Entry, L/W) joined CCH on 1963 and passed out in
1968. During his long illustrious career, he proved his mettle in various
roles. Currently, he is president of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Olympic
Association. Earlier he remained president of Pakistan Wrestling
Federation, provincial minister for sports, tourism, and culture who
represented the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Aqil served
twice as state minister. He served as a member of Peshawar Cantonment,
the senate, and provincial secretary for information as well. He also
served as president of the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) Olympic

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in War Studies. He is a graduate of Command and Staff College Camberley, UK and National Defense University, Islamabad. He has been in the faculty of the Pakistan Military Academy and the National Defense University. He has also commanded an Infantry Brigade and Strike Infantry Division in the Pakistan Army.
Having been the DG Frontier Works Organization (FWO), Engineer-in-Chief, Quarter Master General, and Officer In-Charge National Logistic Cell (NLC), he possesses a diverse experience of planning, managing and executing mega infrastructure development and construction projects across Pakistan.
He also has the privilege and honor of successfully planning, executing and leading the operation Zarb-e-Azab. Lieutenant General Naweed Zaman, HI (M), (Retired), was commissioned in 1980, having won the coveted Sword of Honour. The General is a graduate of Command and Staff College Camberley, UK, National Defence University, Islamabad and Royal College of Defence Studies, UK. Has held varied command and staff appointments which include command of a Brigade and Division, both in operational areas. On being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General, he was appointed Military Secretary at General Headquarters where he was responsible for Human Resource Management of Army officers’ cadre. Later, he commanded a Corps before retiring.
He remained on the faculty of all major institutions including Pakistan Military Academy, School of Infantry and Tactics and Command and Staff College. Whereas, at National Defence University, he initially officiated as a Directing Staff and later rose to become the Commandant. In recognition of his long meritorious military career, he has been awarded Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military).
On the academic side, General has a BSc (Hons) degree to his credit from Baluchistan University (War Studies) and three Master degrees: From Kings College London (International Affairs), Quaid-e-Azam University (Defence and Strategic Studies) and Baluchistan University (International Relations).

Nasir Khan Durrani (17 March 1957 – 19th April 2021) was a Pakistani Police Officer belonging to the 10th CTP who served in BPS-22 grade. Durrani was highly regarded as an honest police officer in the country. In September 2013, he was appointed the Provincial Police Office (Inspector General of Police) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa thus making him top cop of the province, where he served till March 2017.
As Inspector General of Police, Durrani oversaw all patrol and speciality units, and managed department policy that affected Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s many diverse communities.

Muhammad Zakaullah was born in Lyalpur (now Faisalabad) in Punjab, Pakistan on 10 January 1958 After graduating from the Cadet College Hasan Abdal, he joined the Pakistan Navy in 1975 where he was sent to join the Pakistan Naval Academy, graduating at top of his class and conferred with coveted Sword of Honour and awarded the chief of the naval staff gold medal at his graduation. Sub-Lieutenant Zakaullah gained commissioned in the Operations Branch, and was sent to United Kingdom for his training and education later his career.
Zakaullah qualified as a surface officer from the United Kingdom, serving first in the Babur which he later commanded as Commander. He also served as a military attaché at the Pakistan Embassy, Doha in Qatar. Captain Zakaullah served as the Directing Staff at the Pakistan Naval War College before taken as secondment by the President Musharraf.
From 1999 till 2003, Commodore Zakaullah tenured as the Director-General of the National Accountability Bureau, before taking over the command of the 25th Destroyer Squadron. His other command appointments included his role as Chief Inspector of Naval Police and military secretary to Prime Minister for a short brief of time. Rear-Admiral Zakaullah also commanded the CTF–150 in Arabian Sea to guard off operations on Somalian piracy.
At the Navy NHQ, he was appointed as ACNS (Plans), DCNS (Training and Personnel), and DCNS (Operation).
In 2014, Vice-Admiral Zakuallah was promoted to four-star rank admiral.

He also previously remained part-time engaged in academics i.e. as an adjunct professor with Engineering Universities (GIK, UET Taxila and NUST in Pakistan), and recently in industry-university collaboration projects with University of Toronto, Canada and with University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. LTG ftikhar Ali was the former Secretary of Defense and Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the Pakistan Army.
LTG ftikhar Ali Khan was commissioned in the Pakistan Army in October 1961 in the 26th PMA Long Course. Khan served as the Chief Instructor of the Armed Forces War College at National Defence College, Rawalpindi from April 1991 to May 1993.[1] He was promoted to Lieutenant General in May 1993 and did a brief stint as Commandant at the National Defence College, Rawalpindi until June 1993. He was later appointed Commander XXXI Corps, Bahawalpur, a post he held for two and a half years.

Lieutenant General Muhammad Masood Aslam, Hilal e Imtiaz(HI), Hilal e Imtiaz(Mil), Sitara e Jurrat(SJ), was commissioned in one of the oldest regiments of Pakistan infantry in November 1971. Soon after joining the unit he participated in 1971 War in the Chhamb Sector (Kashmir), where he was critically wounded while leading an attack as a platoon commander across Tawi River near Pallanwala. He was awarded a golden wound stripe and an Imtiazi Sanad.
After 1971 he participated in several conflicts with distinction and held numerous command and staff appointments in Pakistan Army, most notably in 1987-88 as a company commander in Siachen, then as a Brigade Commander in 1999 Kargil Crisis where he was awarded Sitara e Jurrat (SJ). He commanded an infantry Division in Azad Kashmir during the 2001-2002 standoff with India and later from 2007-2010 as Commander of the XI Corps in Peshawar. He was the Operational Commander during the Pakistani Army’s campaign in the Swat Valley region (including Dir, Buner and Shangla) as well as Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Kurram and South Wazirastan Agency against Taliban-led forces.
In addition General Aslam functioned as the Colonel Commandant of the well-respected Punjab Regiment from 2008 to 2010. During various operations he was awarded with the gallantry awards of Sitara e Jurrat and Imtiazi Sanad. He was awarded Hilal e Imtiaz (M) for his military services in 2005. On 4 Dec 2009 he lost his only son, Hashim Masood, a student of EME College in the terrorist attack on Parade Lane Mosque during Friday prayers. Before retiring from the military he was awarded Hilal-e-Imtiaz in 2010, for his contribution towards bringing peace in the region. General Aslam also served as Pakistani Ambassador to Mexico after retirement and returned to Pakistan in July 2013.
He is leading a retired life in Islamabad and remains actively involved with numerous think tanks in Pakistan and abroad. He is a member of the Advisory Board of National Institute of Policy Studies (NIPS), a Forum of NUST. He has a special expertise in countering militancy, violent extremism, de-radicalisation and undertaking rehabilitative measures to ensure stability and lasting peace in Pakistan and the region.
Raja Nadir Pervez Khan

Major Raja Nadir Pervez Khan is a Pakistani politician, ex-MP of the Parliament, and former Pakistan Army officer. A former member of the Pakistan Army’s 6 Punjab Regiment, Parvez was a minister in the Nawaz Sharif government during his second tenure. He is the brother-in-law of the former Corps Commander of Quetta Lieutenant-General Tariq Pervez. In a 1999 conversation (with Taimur Khan), he was described by General Tikka Khan, the Pakistani commander in the Rann of Kutch battles in the spring of 1965, as a “brave and courageous soldier.” General Tikka Khan recalled how Nadir Pervez captured an Indian patrol while on a reconnaissance mission during the clashes.
Nadir was awarded the Sitara-e-Jurat for his service in the 1965 war. His efforts in the 1971 war, which included leading an escape from the Indian prison in Fateh Garh (Camp Number 45) along with four other officers, gained him a second Sitara-e-Jurat and promotion to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.

From 1993 to 1995, he was Chairman of the Regional ICAO Hijacking Council. He died on 1 October 2017 in Karachi after fighting a Brain Tumor for 6 months.

Air Chief Marshal Mohammad Abbas Khattak NI(M), SBt, is a four-star rank air force general in the Pakistan Air Force who served as the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) from 8 November 1994 until 7 November 1997.
Khattak was trained to fly the F-86 Sabre and took participation in the various combat missions during the second war with India in 1965. During this time, F/Off. was among the eight fighter pilots who were selected to take part in famous aerial raid on Pathankot Air Force Station in India, a squadron commanded by then-Squadron-Leader Sajjad Haider.

Asad Ali Abidi is a Pakistani-American electrical engineer. He serves as a tenured professor at University of California, Los Angeles, and is the inaugural holder of the Abdus Salam Chair at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He is best known for pioneering RF CMOS technology during the late 1980s to early 1990s. As of 2008, the radio transceivers in all wireless networking devices and modern mobile phones are mass-produced as RF CMOS devices.
Abidi received his B.S. from the Imperial College London followed by a M.S. and PhD from the University of California, Berkeley in 1981. He worked as an electrical engineer with Bell Labs and in January 1985 joined UCLA as a tenured academic. In 2007, he left for a three-year sabbatical to work as a founding dean of the engineering school at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and returned to Los Angeles in 2009. In 2017, he was named as the inaugural holder of the Abdus Salam Chair at LUMS.
Abidi is a prominent academic and is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and The World Academy of Sciences. He received the IEEE Donald O. Pederson Award in Solid-State Circuits in 2008. In 2015, UC, Berkeley recognized him as a distinguished alumnus for his contributions to the theory and practice of analog and RF circuits.

Dr Shahzad Nasim graduated with a Master of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Singapore in 1976. He chose the University of Singapore over Cornell University to study engineering at, and thus started his story in Singapore.
In 1978, Dr Nasim joined Bylander Meinhardt (subsequently renamed Meinhardt Singapore Pte Ltd) and rose through the ranks to become the Managing Director of Meinhardt. This was certainly no small feat, especially for someone who was a foreigner at that time. Dr Nasim’s career as a Professional Structural Engineer spans more than three decades. In addition to business and financial management, he is responsible for the overall coordination of multi-disciplinary professional teams, leading conceptual designs and overseeing the detailed design and construction of major and complex projects undertaken by Meinhardt.
Dr Nasim has built a regional reputation for providing highly innovative, buildable and cost-effective solutions for tall buildings and complex infrastructure projects. Projects led by him include some of the landmark commercial offices, residential, retail and entertainment complexes, such as the Marina Bay Financial Centre, The Sail @ Marina Bay, One Raffles Quay and the 63-storey One Raffles Place in Singapore, as well as The Dubai Mall and the 82-storey Ocean Heights in Dubai.
In 2010, Dr Nasim undertook a buyout of the entire Meinhardt Group from its Australian owners, and moved the global headquarters from Melbourne to Singapore. Today, Dr Nasim provides leadership as Executive Chairman of the Meinhardt International Group, with responsibility for the Group’s strategic direction, global business expansion, key clients and major projects, including the Group’s programme for mergers and acquisitions with a view towards possible IPO listing. He spearheaded the strategic expansion of Meinhardt in China, South East Asia and the Middle East. Dr. Tahir Raza Andrabi

Dr. Tahir Andrabi is a Professor of Economics at Pomona College where he teaches courses in economic development, game theory, international economics and empirical microeconomics. He is the co-founder and Director, Social Policy and Public Goods Program of Center for Economic Research in Pakistan (Lahore). He has also been a visiting scholar at MIT, a research associate at LSE and a consultant for the World Bank. From 1999-2000, he served as a member of the tax and macroeconomic committees of the economic advisory board of the government of Pakistan.
Dr. Andrabi is the principal investigator on the four year longitudinal study on quality of primary education in rural Punjab funded by the World Bank and the National Science Foundation. He is also the principal investigator, in a National Academy of Sciences/Higher Education Commission Pakistan grant, on evaluating recovery from the October 2005 earthquake in northern Pakistan. He co-founded the website, risepak.com, to help coordinate relief in the aftermath of the October 2005 earthquake which was awarded the Stockholm Challenge Award (2006) for the best ICT project in the public administration category.
He has published extensively in major economics and education journals. In 2007, his work on religious education in Pakistan received the George Bereday Award for the best paper published in Comparative Education Review in 2006 from the Comparative and International Education Society. His research has been covered by The Financial Times, Toronto Globe and Mail, USA Today, The Christian Science Monitor, Newsweek, The Economist, Foreign Policy and news media around the world.
Dr. Andrabi holds a Doctorate in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a graduate of Swarthmore College.

He has the honour of having served at top bureaucratic positions such as the Railways Secretary, Petroleum Secretary, SAFFRON Secretary, Federal Secretary Aviation and Chief Secretary of both Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Raja is the son-in-law of Saeed Mehdi, the former Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chief Secretary Sindh. Sikandar was appointed Chief election commissioner by the bipartisan parliamentary committee unanimously in January 2020.

Dr. Omar T. Atiq, M.D., is a professor of medicine and otolaryngology-head and neck in the UAMS College of Medicine. He is the founding director of the Arkansas Cancer Institute in Pine Bluff and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Atiq received his medical degree from the Khyber Medical College, University of Peshawar, Pakistan, and did his residency and chief residency in internal medicine at the Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital and Foster G. McGaw Hospital of the Loyola University in Chicago.
Dr. Atiq did his fellowship training in medical oncology and hematology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York and is board certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine.
He is the chair of the board of governors of the American College of Physicians (ACP), former governor of the ACP Arkansas Chapter, and past president, speaker of the house and chairman of the board of the Arkansas Medical Society. Dr. Atiq also sits on the Arkansas State Medical Board. He is commissioner emeritus of the Arkansas Tobacco Settlement Commission, where he served as inaugural vice chair, and he has also served on the Pulaski Academy board.
