The IVC Society organized History Lab as its first project in collaboration with King’s Academy Jordan and Shri Ram School India virtually in which 18 Round Square schools participated. The collaboration focused on historical significance and impact of the past civilization. The topics under discussion were Ancient Cities & Their Vibrant Culture, Trace Cities as Caravan Crossroads and Ancient Architectural Marvels. A detailed briefing was given on the Annual Exhibition Day.

Secondly, the sculpture of the Priest King was presented as Society’s second project. The inclusion of the sculpture was made in order to study the social and political status of authority also known as the sacred authority in the Indus Valley. It is symbolized through this historically important artefact found during the excavation of the ruined Bronze Age city of Mohenjo-daro in 1925–26. Moreover, the sculpture stands as testimony to the fact that the artisans of Mohenjo-daro carved the finest expressions manifesting the prolific history of the civilization.

Studying the Priest King was a valuable experience which enabled the students to learn about the ruling entities and the expertise of the people of Indus Valley in art and craft.
