18th Entry Golden Jubilee Celebrations

18th Entry Golden Jubilee Celebrations at CCH18th Entry Abdalians (Class of 1971 – 76) celebrated their Golden Jubilee at the College, where it all began from, on 30 and 31 Oct, 2021. Despite various road closures and COVID related travel restrictions, 26 Abdalians managed to make it to the Grand Event. It was a 2 day fun packed program, during which they experienced a roller coaster of emotions as some of them met each other after 50 years since graduating from the College. Having arrived at 10 in the morning, the day started with wreath laying and Dua at the Shuhada Monument for the departed ones.Holding the flags of CCH and Pakistan high, they marched to the tune of drum beat towards the main entrance of Ayub Block. A graceful ceremony was held in the Naeem Hall which included a nostalgic slideshow of CCH era photographs. After the group picture, they enjoyed a sumptuous and delicious lunch in the Mess, had some rest in the Omar Wing and played basketball, hockey and horse riding. The entertainment part begun with the movie “100 Rifles” played in the Abid Majeed Open Air Theater. Before the movie, they danced to the tunes of music expressing their joy on the occasion. After a lavish dinner in the Oval, they enjoyed the violin performance of the legendary Ustad Raees Khan along with the ghazals sung by his son. The dancing abilities of the Abdalians were on display again. They had a brunch next morning, visited the Hasan Abdal railway station to revive the good old student life memories.
