CCH IDEALS CONCLAVE – 2022
Day 1
Cadet College Hasanabdal takes pride in hosting the first-ever in-person conference by inviting the esteemed member schools of Round Square International Community across Pakistan. CCH IDEALS CONCLAVE stands as a manifestation of Round Square ethos reflecting twelve valuable discoveries while bringing RS schools together at one platform which turned fruit-bearing in the true sense of expression.
In the conference, besides CCH, The Lyceum Karachi and First Steps School of Arts & Sciences Faisalabad participated. The delegates arrived at CCH on 25th January in the afternoon and had a detailed campus tour that included visits to Equestrian Club, Shooting Range, Hobbies Clubs, and Winlaw Grounds. The principal Brig. Nasir Saeed Khattak SI (M) Retd while addressing the delegates emphasized international understanding and choosing appropriate content according to the audience, purpose, scale, and context being in the global society. In the evening, the delegates attended the opening ceremony in which the Round Square School Support Director for South Asia & the Gulf Ms. Rajbhir Sandhu addressed the audience and declared the conclave formally open. The Officer in Charge Center for Wider Curriculum, Mr. Shaukat Mahmood shared a brief history of CCH and its endeavors in this digital era to produce global leaders as envisioned by the incumbent leadership. Keeping the baraza forums intact, the delegates attended their respective groups and reflected on their perspectives on United Nations’ sustainable development goals; Climate Action, Life on Land, and Decent Work & Economic Growth. The RS schools also participated in the 7th Isfandyar Bukhari Shaheed Bilingual Declamation Contest on 26th January. However, resuming the conference activities, the delegates undertook a hike to renowned Wali Qndhari Hill in Hassan Abdal’s adventurous flavor, which became a lasting memory. The evening on 26th January marked an informal Barraza session with a musical concert followed by dinner in the college mess which made the delegates experience life at CCH. 27th January being the last day of the Conclave started off with yet another exciting opportunity for delegates to explore the Gandhara civilization for which they were taken to Taxila Museum, Dharmarajika site, and Gandhara Resource Center which amply added to their knowledge and exposure. The closing ceremony of the Conclave took place at CCH in the afternoon in which the delegates were awarded certificates and schools’ RS Reps with shields. CCH IDEALS CONCLAVE was the first-ever meet-up of RS Schools in Pakistan and has been lauded by Round Square’s regional and international community.
