Cadet College Hasanabdal, being the torchbearer of Adventure, one of the IDEALS of Round Square, has incorporated the Paragliding Course as a part of the cadets’ extra-curricular activities. It also provides them with the opportunity to test the soft skills learnt in the challenging environment of CCH.
The course took place at the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT) at Kakul, Abbottabad. Cadets were given a briefing on the equipment involved along with components of each. They were also given due physical training before embarking on their ground and ramp training before finally taking their qualifying flights.
As an additional activity, they also gained the opportunity to experience hard terrain cycling and archery. On their final day, they were awarded with the coveted Paragliding Wing along with a Certificate of Achievement. The cadets truly exhibited the fact that Abdalians possess tenacity to consider the sky as their only limit.
