Cadet College Hasanabdal hosted the second edition of IDEALS CONCLAVE from 27th to 29th January 2023. Round Square schools from Pakistan which included The British Overseas School and First Steps School of Arts Sciences Faisalabad participated. Sadiq Public School Bahawalpur (both campuses) also became part of this three day event.
CCH IDEALS CONCLAVE is a Round Square inspired conference which focuses on experiential learning through a host of activities based on ethos of International Understanding, Democracy, Environmental Stewardship, Adventure, Leadership and Service to Mankind.
27th January being the first day started with a thorough campus tour which included horse riding, archery, tug of war and shooting. The opening ceremony was held at Naeem Hall in which the Round Square School Support Director for South Asia & the Gulf Region addressed the audience followed by baraza discussion on UN sustainable development goals conducted by the RS Student Council of CCH.
28th January marked the beginning of delegates’ participation in the declamation forum followed by a service project at the ancient Mughal Gardens. Later in the evening, CCH Music Club arranged performances for the delegates.
On 29th January being the last day of conclave, the delegates were taken to Gurdwara Punja Sahib where they were briefed about its history and spiritual significance in Sikhism. Later, Khanpur Dam was the last destination where the delegates thoroughly enjoyed water sports fulfilling a sense of adventurism while realizing their potential. The closing ceremony was held at Khanpur Dam in which the participating schools and delegates were awarded shields and certificates respectively.
