He is currently working in Management Group in the Government of Ontario Canada’s power sector crown agency under the Ministry of Energy, Ontario. I completed my B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from UET Lahore in 1986. I was awarded a fulbright/S&T/USAID scholarship in
1987 for pursuing Ph.D. Accordingly, he earned M.Sc and Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from
University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, US.A. in 1989 and 1992 respectively.
He has been working in the Electricity Power Sector in Canada for almost past 20 years, since
2001. He served as Chairman of Ontario Wind Power Task Force, Canada for seven years and as
Chairman and Vice Chairman of USA-Canada working group on “Coordination of Power Operations” for four consecutive years. Prior to Canada, he served in Pakistan in Wapda and then as World Bank’s core group Advisor to NEPRA (Electric Power Regulatory Authority) in the Power sector development program. He also previously remained part-time engaged in academics i.e. as an adjunct professor with Engineering Universities (GIK, UET Taxila and NUST in Pakistan), and recently in industry-university collaboration projects with University of Toronto, Canada and with University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. He has been providing coaching and mentorship to young electrical engineers and engineering graduates.
He also have a strong passion to work voluntarily for Abdalians and devoting time to charities and other noble causes. His other hobbies include biking, long drives, listening to music.
